Family Court Records in Preble County

The Preble County Court of Common Pleas is the trial court that handles all major cases in the county. The Domestic Relations Division takes care of family law matters. Divorce, dissolution, legal separation, and annulment filings go through this division. The court also handles child custody, parenting time, child support, and spousal support cases. Preble County Clerk of Courts

The Clerk of Courts is the official record keeper for the Preble County Court of Common Pleas. Every document filed in a family court case passes through the Clerk's office. Petitions, answers, motions, financial disclosures, and final decree entries all get filed, docketed, and stored here. Public access is available during business hours.

Preble County Probate Court

Guardianship cases require background checks and yearly reports to the court. Preble County Probate Court has been operating since the county was formed in 1808, so records go back over two centuries for some case types.

Juvenile records in Preble County are confidential under ORC Chapter 2151. Adoption records are sealed too. If you believe you have a legal right to see sealed or confidential records, you need to file a petition with the court explaining your reasons.
